Being vegan can make eating out tricky, but that doesn't mean that there are not plenty of options. Especially in a city like Melbourne, where the options are endless. Take a look at some of these restaurants that offer vegan-friendly dishes. Being vegan has never felt so good!

Plus. As with every Liven article - Every single one of these venues accepts Liven and pays YOU rewards cash just for chowing down and paying with the app.

That's a hell of a deal.

Lord of the Fries:

It's hard to find a fast food restaurant that is able to accommodate vegans, unless you want a wilted salad made in the 1990s and kept in the fridge until somebody finally ordered it. But Lord of the Fries is a vegetarian restaurant that can fully accommodate vegans. Take a look at their burgers: a veggie beef patty (textured vegetable protein), vegan American cheese and buns, and plenty of toppings and sauces of your choice. Pair that burger with a 100% vegan shake and you're good to go! Even if you aren't vegan, why not give it a try? Remember, South Yarra and Elizabeth Street are the only ones that pay with Liven!

The Denn:

Paella please! Head over to Northcote for a completely vegan paella dish made with saffron rice. String beans, roasted field mushrooms, pumpkin.... need I say more?

Sauced:

Pasta is important. It's the food that holds you when you cry and tells you everything is going to be okay or the dish that gives you a little push on that first date to be just a little more charming. Sauced understands that everyone needs some pasta in their life. That's why they have plenty of vegan options. They have sauces like Spicy Lentil Bolognese sauce made with absolutely no meat. Try some zucchini strips under that spice and throw on whatever toppings your heart desires. Thank god.

(There is cheese visibly in this image, but they have a huge range of non-cheese toppings available.)

Mrs. Robinson:

Calling all Deakin University students! Acai bowls are big right now and it's not hard to see why. They're so pretty! So next time your friends want to have brunch, suggest Mrs. Robinson and score yourself an acai bowl, completely vegan! Brunch club just got better.

Mr. Natural:

Okay so maybe you guessed from the name, but Mr. Natural is a great spot for vegans and non-vegans alike. If you like pizza, you'll love this. Mr. Natural pizzas are all vegetarian. Pretty neat, huh? You know what's even neater? The fact that any (you heard me, ANY) pizza can be made vegan. Dreams really do come true!

Truman Cafe:

You had us at brunch. Truman cafe offers some fantastic vegan options for the most important meal of the day. Can we please talk about the Halloumi and Pumpkin Brekki? Pumpkin leek mash, kale, halloumi, need I say more? Just be sure you tell them you want the vegan option when you order and you'll be in for a real treat! Brunch on, my friends. If you are there a little bit later in the day, opt for the cauliflower and quinoa burger. You can't go wrong here.

Huong Viet:

Vietnamese AND vegan? It must be too good to be true, right? Not at Huong Viet! Almost all of their dishes are vegan. That means vegan soup, vegan wok, even vegan duck dishes. I don't know about you, but I am feeling 22 and very excited about this development.

Keep on veggin'!
